Stopped at Papakura Autobahn and got a few looks down the nose from other bikers when filling up, so feeling suitably small decided not to approach any of the groups hanging around. I'm pretty shy anyway around new people, so this may have just been my perception. Went off on my way and had 2 people wave to me on the whole ride. I lost count of how many refused to acknowledge my wave as we passed - and only one rider was on a BMW! So to all of those out there on sports bikes, don't be rude. I may be on a 250 now, but that's all going to change soon. The one thing I've always loved about riding is the general camaraderie, so I was a bit put out at the lack of it out there today.
For all those non-wavers, this is for you:

Hi RR, did not see you at AB yesterday, I don,t think any of us would have been looking down our noses at you, many riders in our groups ride 250s, You would have be made to feel welcome had you came over to our group, we were up way from the gas station , just about opps Mc Donalds.
About the waving thing, despite what our resident grouch from Carr rd thinks, most of us do wave at all bikes, the only exception is if the conditions at the time don,t warrant it. I wave when I comute on the southen M/way not many wave back, but , hey WGAF. Don,t be put off, come and say gidday next time...........have sent you a pm.

The only reason I only ride in the Iron man Class is I have no friends left to enter the two man events,
my own fault really.
