argh people are going to hate me

but i half agree with katman, I am not saying every cage driver is out to get me or anyone else, but people do sterotype everyone else.
Its not only bikes, I see an L plate with an asian at the wheel in a car and I run a mile because I think they are bad drivers because of what has happen in the past, now this person could be the best learner driver ever but because I have had a few run in with others that were not so good I will keep out of there way (both on a bike and in a car) infact i get rather mad at them.

Now if you have some boy racer or mad as holden/ford driver in there V8 and you lane split in front of them to close to there pride and joy or you over take them/cut them off etc then they get pissed, they may go after you, now lets say you loose this "mad man" then what happens to the next biker that comes along who might play by all the rules, this mad man is going to see red because of what happen in the past, and just to show he is still a man he might do some really dumb things to the new rider.

Now I am not saying this happens 100 percent of the time, it may only happen .25% of the time, but it does happen, everyone gets pissed off at someone on the road, I know i have yelled a few times in my helmet at people cutting me off etc.

There are a few really bad riders out there (however they think they are hot shit) that give others a bad name, all that has to happen is 1 of those bad riders f**ks off someone and the next rider can get a nasty suprise.

There's been occassions where I've thought that they should never again be allowed behind a wheel or a set of handlebars - but there is a certain difference between those two attitudes.
I've wished death by accident on one person. There might have been more than one person in the car, so then it would've been death to the bloody lot of them. I'll never know if my wish came true, but it'd be nice to think so.
Scenario: riding down the hill toward Orewa from up north. It was raining, traffic sucked big time, so we were splitting - quietly riding along. I was in front of my husband (on his bike). As we came to the last corner (something like Old North Road is on the right, just before the bridge), a cage decided he was pissed off that we were moving and they weren't so he decided to force me onto the other side of the road.
I wasn't happy about that as it was a blind corner and I was petrified someone would be coming the other way. Neither of us could see oncoming traffic, he must've been hoping I'd be flattened.
I was worried as he'd pulled that stunt on me, what was he going to do about hubby behind me. Luckily we were going to my olds, so I could stop and get the heart rate back to normal after that.
Only reason could think of was the fact that we were moving and cars weren't. Who's fault is that? Stoopid bloody cagers - more bikes means less traffic hold ups and on January 1/2, expect queues of traffic and allow time for it.
Prior to coming up to this guy there was no sign saying he was a psychopath.

I hear what you guys are saying - I just don't agree that a sane and well balanced person would ever indulge into this kind of behaviour.

And fair enough to wish death upon someone in the heat of the moment (adrenaline can make anyone loose their humanity truth be told) - but if you still wish death upon them after you've gotten your heart rate under control and regained your sense and normal perspective then... meh!

That being said I have certainly had my cases of having a bad wish to lay someone out because of their idiotic driving behaviour on several occasions. I just hope they learn the lesson eventually without anyone getting hurt (and yes, I am both blonde and naivé!).
It is preferential to refrain from the utilisation of grandiose verbiage in the circumstance that your intellectualisation can be expressed using comparatively simplistic lexicological entities. (...such as the word fuck.)

My only problem is that Katman hasn't clarified whether he was talking about my antics or the antics of motorcyclists in general or a handful of motorcyclists that ruin it for the rest...

He's just left that up to assumption just to stirr everyone up and move people away from my point that some accidents may not be accidents at all and to look out for these fuckwits... I think the fuckwits are the cagers trying to hit bikers, not the bikers who have every right to be upset when their life is threatened by other motorists additional to being unprotected and riding on a hard surface.

sorry delusionz, but I don't see how you can think Katman was pointing the finger at you on this occasion. I didn't read anything in your post to indicate that you were doing anything stupid (unless it was prior to your account of the tailgating and omitted for obvious reasons). Therefore common sense would suggest that his reference to "certain" riders does not necessarily indicate a personal poke at you.

erm you wouldn't have happened to be driving ''some white legacy wagon with a rego plate starting with C .......on the motorway heading out west a few nights ago '' tailgating a kb'er on a 250cc ....??

Good to know. If a mirrorectomy has been performed and the cager is now looking twice for bikes... good.
IF said cager is missing a mirror and actively/agressively attempts to intimidate a bike, this means that they have still not learnt their lesson and so we now proceed to stage two of the proceedure...

And that is precisely the bullshit attitude we need to get rid of.

    It's here to stay, sonny.

Fear is an active ingredient of the learning process.

Best you head back to the politically correct, tree-hugging niceness of the imaginary world.

EDIT: The reply, where you quoted this post, was very quickly deleted katman...

Yeah, because it's not like cagers pull the same shit with other cagers, or attack truck drivers with hammers, it it?

Someone attempting to kill me is likely to piss me off... greatly!
