    Slingshot-2. Gives me sore shoulders

    Hah? An I missing something. Since when does one wear a packrack. It is fitted to the m/c!!!

    Slingshot-3. When I come off, I'd hate to think about the added physics of wearing a backpack, it may provide more protection but would most probably cause more injury.

    Lots of speculation and what ifs. Geez get over it.
    I've fallen off a couple of times with one fitted. You are certainly imagining things here. {Note the self- Add back sig about binning being an art form}
    Dude...you've misread my post, in which I had misread another.

    I though Sniper_CBR mentioned a backpack.
    My bad

    No It was I who was in error . Sorry. You where correct riding with a fully loaded backback attached to one's back for a weeks touring is a pain.

    That's not nice, I have riden both islands, and only once did I use a pack rack, carried a tent tied to my back, back pack tied to the seat and tank bag when I road a week in NOrthland country. on the bike all day just going from one side of the coast to the next, and that was on a ZXR250. went from Auck to Well on my Gixxer with a tank bag and back pack, then caught the ferry to the south when I visted my sister in Franz.
    Planning a trip from VIC to Dubbo(Picking up my mate and his R1), then riding together to Sydney, then back to VIC after X-mas on my TL, I will only have my Tank bag and Back Pack, all this on a sports bike.
    Pack Racks?, not needed

    I'm thinking I'd rather have a Tankbag mainly because the packrack would interfere with the pillion in my situation.

    Wot's a pack-rack Never had one and haven't needed one, even two-up and touring, I've one of those cute (but oh so expensive) little racks above my tail-light, says "do not exceed 10lb" but hey, what do they know

    and if i did decide to take a tent, i'd strap it to my seat... It's not like i have to bring my hair-dryer!

    btw. I actually lived in a tent for 3 months touring QLD... 2 weeks of it here in the wet season
    Yeah but you most likely don't got a missus wot WANTS to take a hair-drier and already has packed tent, two sleeping bags, two self-inflating mattresses plus wet-weather gear, an umbarella and some "summery" type clothes for walking around in and a book etc etc
