I wouldn't mind a TLR. Anything with a v thingy in the "engine bay". Tho Dangerous rode one with a few mods and reckoned it was very very difficult to ride in the twisties compared to mine.... but i don't wanna start that war!
And i heard riding TLR's for too long gives you massive "packages" and make you aggro.... (with or without the pack rack)![]()
Whereas riding Ducs just make you really really happy - you have to be while it ain't at the mechanics!![]()

Just kidding Blak! i almost bought one....

This thread should have been more about luggage in general.Originally Posted by Gixxer

Don't worry - it will soon metamorphose (once it reaches maturity) into a beer thread.Originally Posted by Slingshot

But while it's still about packracks, I just returned from having mine fitted by Kerry at Motohaus. I can't recommend this guy enough.![]()
The fitting wasn't too bad, as the Ventura racks are well designed and made, but in my case it was complicated by the Howlingtune being mounted higher than the original muffler, leaving almost no clearance between the pipe and the rack.![]()
Not to worry - Kerry soon sorted it.![]()
Now I just have to move the muffler down a smidgeon, and wait for the proper rack to be sent so I can swap 'em over (the distributor's fault, not Kerry's). The annoying thing is I had one of the right kind when I trashed my VFR750, and the guy who bought the bag didn't even want the rack, so for all I know he may have thrown it away. :confused2
... and that's what I think.
Or summat.
Or maybe not...
Dunno really....![]()
Take a look at the waikato ride video if you have the time/inclination - not packrack in sight, and three people's luggage on the bike... It even looks like it was supposed to be carrying all that stuff - the integrated package....Originally Posted by festus
