Not out there yet mate, move date set for 12th Jan. Until then, I'll enjoy the sea views, the cold southerlies and the salty air turning an already unreliable car into a rust bucket.

So you're making the most of the settled weather for some summer training then...?
They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the evening,
    we will remember them

this the bike in question then?
This is an 04 bike, not an 05. Might have been registered in 05, but it was built '04. Should be a sticker on the frame, by the right clip on, if it hasn't been removed, with the build month and year. That's a ZX636B2 (geek, I know)

Anyway, same thing applies to what I mentioned about the gearbox, but these bikes aren't as soft as the 05/06 bikes (bikes with the underseat exhaust) so should be hardier.

The 'B2' bikes got better suspension than the B1s but equally good strong solid bikes.

    enjoy

and nothing wrong with these bikes in orange!
fortunately for you lot, there's only a few in NZ

Yeah did a bit more digging about the year, was NZ new and registered in 2005 but is the 04 model. Tis all good for me, I'm just happy to be back on 2 wheels. Thanks for the advice.
