Shaun Harris at Moto-Dynamix in New Plymouth?

hi -= has anyone dealt with this guy?
he has some good pricing on ohlins - but i'd like some re-assurance before i send him a grand or more for shocks.
they are for my SR/XT street tracker...

Have seen him at Manfield helping guys set up their suspensions the last 2 or 3 meetings and testdays. Thers alot of theory behind how to set up a bike and Ohlins have reacomendations and Shawn Harris would also have a wealth of hands on knowlege.

If you make accurate measurements of your weight then you can't really buy the wrong shocks or springs. Then its just a matter of knowing how to set them up right and if anyone does the smart money would be on Shawn for roadracing. Motocross machines may require someone different to set them up to the max benefit.

Really fast and slow bikes don't mix that well thats why at trackdays they are split into 3 or more groups. Maybe he was upset by the potential for a serious incident.

Usually at these testdays theres more than enough time for everyone to have a go.

    Shaun Harris

Shaun has worked closely with Robert Taylor (Ohlins importer & Hawera Motorcycles) in setting up racebikes for many years. He has recently opened a shop in New Plymouth. Whether you deal direct with Robert or Shaun they both have 'International" experience in setups to suit your 'actual' as opposed to perceived requirements. i.e. you don't want a race setup on the road even thou you think you go that fast on the road.

Yeah he's a good guy on the couple of occasions I've met him. Although I have heard he can get a bit fired up sometimes if he doesn't get things going his way. Although you have to understand he's a ginger and so its in his blood, he can't be blamed for it
