Thumb straight on the horn (which at least sounds much better than my GN's [now that is a pathetic horn]) and gave her the one fingered salute, along with the evil eye. Then still had to squirt the throttle as her reflexes were so slow - she only managed to pull back into her own lane once I was loooooong clear of her!!
Ditto except on the Hutt motorway on the way to work this morning. Looooong toot followed by thumping on her window (she was in an SUV) and she still kept coming at me with a horrified expression on her face. If I'd been on the Zed, she'd be in the harbour, thanks to the Stebel. I still have a big Stebel to mount on the Katana. Might look at that tomorrow.

One of the first things I did once I got my bike was ditch the OEM horn and replace it with a louder unit. It is not too loud but is noticable....ride safe and don't be afraid to use your horn. If you are in traffic ride with your thumb constantly on the horn button so you can use it at the first sign of assholes

    It's impossible to ride "safe".

It is possible to ride in an alert and proactive state though.

Makes me slightly gladder I have a two-stroke as my learner bike. I'm pretty sure it's hearable to most people. However my horn is two close to the indicator so that goes off quite often.

Yea , strangely enough the motorway thing like yours happened to me twice in a week and was my first week on the bike. had one happen to me yesterday. One guy was so busy looking at his Gfs boobs in his car (probably couldnt beleave his luck) he totaly cvame in my lane, I had to move to the next one otherwise would have binned. Tootes, screamed, looked angry. fucker didnt look in the mirror. I think if a man is driving and there is female in the car, one look at her boobs 5 demerit points, that would work wouldnt it?

Opinions are like arseholes: Everybody has got one, but that doesn't mean you got to air it in public all the time....
