Actually by going to Kawakawa Bay that means we'll miss the Hunuas. Haven't seen the road between Kawakawa Bay and Kaiaua (Orere, Matingarahi, Wharekawa), is it worth riding down? It looks a bit straight on the map.
I think a few of us will probably do that anyway...then the loop back thru the Hunuas. It IS worth riding down but beware two deceptive turns.

Got out there this morning myself, empty dry road, not too sunny, just perfect. Well except for the sheep in the middle of a blind corner but we managed to avoid each other.

The plan is to head South East along the coast to Kaiaua(I know wrong spelling) and heading back thru hunuas sounds good.

On Chapel Road. Go to the east end of Ti Rakau Drive, turn left onto Chapel and you're there

Was one of those corners featured heavily (by yours truly) on the first ride I ever went on -- I believe you were there that day too

    See you all tomorrow.

Yeah! Impressed how well the Blackbird 1100 managed to keep up

Disappointing about Twilight Rd -- it's now gravel. Leong and I took a nosy up to see how far the gravel extended but it was decided the pansy-boys with fairings might not enjoy themselves. So we carried on straight.
