Anyone recommend a good place to get a bike repainted?

    Wellington?

Cheers Crazefox, I have heard that the spray gun should not be held too close to the job, but 700 km away seems like it might be a bit far!!!

its about reputation, i good paint shop will have a dam good rep and all insurance companies will go there, just drive past a few and see what they are respraying, if they are repairing late model cars like brand new falcons and commadores then its a dam good chance they know how to lay a clean coat of paint that will gleam

forgot to mention that the shop will be spotless and they will have a mixing room and a spray booth and bake oven.

it will also cost you an arm and a leg, like my grandads vintage car he just painted at a cost of $28k but dam it looks shiny

Weeeelll. I just dropped my tank of too em. Stripping, bogging if necessary, priming, sanding and painting (with the oven thingie) is costing me $300. So i would assume an entire bike would be around the $1500 range.

Tell ya what, ill ask the dude when i go pick my tank up and post it on here shall i?

    reflections did my street tracker.
tank - sidecovers and tailpiece was $1000.
pretty damn pricey, but the paint is perfect and still looks perfect.

That's the result of the bake oven, I guess - that bike seems to have come out nice and shiny, but horribly distorted
