I was thinking of meeting at the Botany BP station around 9:30 and leaving there at 10:00 after filling up.Open to suggestions,no hard or fast rules.Anybody is welcome, not only 250's but may be boring for faster/bigger bikes.

Why don't we keep going a few kilometres down the road to Kaiaua (feck that's a hard word to spell)?

Actually by going to Kawakawa Bay that means we'll miss the Hunuas. Haven't seen the road between Kawakawa Bay and Kaiaua (Orere, Matingarahi, Wharekawa), is it worth riding down? It looks a bit straight on the map.
