1991 TZR250 what to look for?

I'm checking one out tonight - what do i need to look for specifically with these bikes? Any known problems or niggles with them?

    Don't be a fuckwit.

Although they're a more "puka" race look than an RGV, they're notoriously difficult to derestrict and parts are STUPIDLY expensive. Unless someone's giving it to ya, buy an RGV.

If it's a 3XV you can easily make them smoke a RGV250 though, as all the proper TZ250GP shit bolts straight on

It's a 3XV, has 23k on it, recent top end rebuild with all genuine yamaha parts - $3.5k...

decent tyres atm, but i will replace for a matched pair of new GPRs - cosmetically its about 90% with a couple of scrapes and cracks where some fuckwit hasnt known how to take the fairings off.

Current owner has 5 of the things and is keeping an SP model and a bog standard nearly original condition TZR250R and selling the on im looking at and a TZR250RS

what does mr trash think of that?

Sweet. You grab your 3XV, I'll take my (missus) stock VJ22 and I'll race ya to Invercargill.

That's what Mr Trash thinks of that, Mr Kid

And Kickaha, don't make me get my mate Guido to bring round his Uncle Nicks Fatboy and show you tricycle riders what a real bike goes like.
