Thought I'd sound you guys out about the EFI computer mapping on my 2001 BMW F650. Have been experiencing some 'lumpiness', almost as if about to run out of fuel, on the Beemer at 3000-3500 rpm, and also at approx 4200rpm when under light load/cruising.
Is this 'lumpiness' actually the 'surging' in earlier models that I've heard about?
Have read a number of articles that suggest upgrading the computer software to v10.1 to resolve this, but was wondering if anybody here had already been down this path? Does it really result in improvements on the old mapping?
Keen also to understand how happy the NZ BMW dealers have been to do the work.
Any experiences you are willing to share?
