Well my cruiser's pretty low to the floor somestimes I like to stand up for a few seconds just to see over other cars adn what not. And I always stand over speed bumps, (absorb the shock and all that)

Done it past a few coppers and never had an issue.

on the exsessive to look over the tops of hedges at nude sunbathers...........
ahhh un no, get it right
look over the tops of cages to whats ahead
and it is mentioned in the road code
Plus, is it not a safty issue?
Dont you stand on your pegs for road kill, railway lines, and that last 250 that fell over in the esses!

Pulled into a check point once and stood up (5 sec) just before I stopped to take a look see. Nothing said other than the "please say your name bla blabla"

True, standing up on the Buell puts my shoulders over the bars, very little leverage. On the KLX it's not only easier it gives you more control, more options. Horses for courses.
Go soothingly on the grease mud, as there lurks the skid demon

Have you ever ridden past a cop standing and if so what did they do?

Cant really see how it is a problem myself as I'm still in full control and can easily use the pedals/levers etc.
