Burnout on Bus Shelter roof ends in broken back (made a full recovery)

Scott at Ratbike.org told this fairly hilarious story, with the moral that you should do a burnout ONCE, not TWICE in quick succession.
A picture tells a thousand words, below...

"Bike rally on Shetland, the 2005 Simmer Dim....
The lad rode that bike about 30 miles to the rally and went into the beer tent. While he was in, some of his mates thought it would be jolly good fun to lift it onto the bus shelter roof.

He came out some time later somewhat the worse for drink and decided he'd start it. He then decided he'd do a huge smokey burnout to much hilarity.

He then started it up a second time and wound the throttle open. It was one of those slow motion NOOOOOOooooooooooooo..!!! moments as the melty tyre touched down and he was launched into the air... a superb wheelie off the top of the bus shelter... The 8ft high faceplant and subsequent airlift to hospital with a broken neck wasn't quite as impressive (he's ok now).

The police arrived before the ambulance but the bike had been cunningly spirited away before they got there. The lad didn't seem too bad but apparently suffered some hairline fractures of his cervical vertebrae so they had to airlift him to Aberdeen (it's a 13 hour ferry journey away) for more detailed tests.

He was at the following years rally no bother."

The badge for the 2006 Simmer Dim pictured a motorbike and a bus shelter.
