    First Electoral Finance Act enforcement

The first instance of the Electoral Commission (the watchdog responsible for using it's "common sense" and enforcing the act) flexing it's muscles has occured in relation to the www.dontvotelabour.org.nz site discussed in Jantar's thread

The 21 yr old site owner has been ordered to put his name and address onto the website, something which he is reluctant to do because of fears for his families safety. Failure to do so may result in a $10,000 fine.

    http://www.nzherald.co.nz/section/st...ectid=10485850

Finally a good piece of journalism from the herald, well a good quote anyway:

"When people come to wonder what has happened to a freedom they once took for granted, the answer is seldom a single, memorable edict. It is more often a hundred trifling rules, requirements and restrictions, each defensible within the logic of the law but together oppressive in their effect."

He can use my name and address if he wants.
If a man is alone in the woods and there isn't a woke Hollywood around to call him racist, is he still white?

Chickens bred from stupendously dumb law finally coming home to roost. What we need now is "dontvotelabourII", "brideofdontvotelabour", etc and a plethora of similar sites to keep the Anti-Free Speech Nazis truly on their toes.

Or too busy to prosecute proper political movements.

A Mr Gavigan has rather a good idea. Which is quite simple, everybody registers as a 'third party'. It costs nothing, and if the Electoral nazis find that they have , say, half a million third parties, they may lose interest rather quickly.

After all, if the gubbermint ahs said (as they ahve) that only registered third parties are entitled to an opinion, then we all need to become third parties!.

    I've attached the form!

Excellent! I shall register forthwith and shall encourage all members of my family to do likewise, or I shall register on their behalf!
