If you only see them occasionally, they're cool. But if everyone starts wearing them, they'll be gay.

Well i don't really need anything to stand out, yellow bike with yellow leathers, or a fluero yellow jacket if i am riding around town(port of tauranga jacket)

But what i use to do around the xmas season i had rigged up so i could attach a santa hat to my helmet and ride around with that one, its amazing the strange looks you get, and some of the looks the kids give, bit of fun (c:<

    I'm dubious about helmet mo's.

Problem is, see, the floppy pink bunny ears, right? They're so obviously gay that they're not. IYSWIM. Case in point - 'busa rider that stoppied up beside me once along Te Atatu road. Big pink bunny ears and bobby bunny tail on his helmet. Not gay. Silly. Silly is fine.

But there's always the slight suspicion that someone wearing an orange helmet mohawk thinks that it's cool. Which is gay.

I almost bought bunny ears at one point, but chickened out. I think that once I have the next bike, which will be large and black and permanently dirty, I will feel comfortable enough in my two-wheeled heterosexuality to wear fluffy pink things on my manly black Shoei.

Right here goes. To all you clowns who think they are silly . But then again every one is entitled to thier opinion. I have one the goes on the yellow helmet. Now i don't wear it all te time but if i am goin on charity runs/rallys/some big rides then i'll stick it on the helmet.

you do get a lot of attention and i think it looks cool.

Bad points are it creates a lot of wind drag as well as crosswinds can be interesting. So the old neck gets a bit of a pounding. As to the suction problem well it was solved with a bit of silly-tape

BUT at the end of the day it's what you want. I am a bit of a silly character and i think it looks cool, if that makes me silly so be it. Would i wear one all the time ....maybe but i don't know cause there is no reason to, will i wear it again most definatly.

im thinking of getting one for when i get the ZXR on the road. Only problem is i have no idea what colour to get (definately not pink or purple). Also i have been weighing up whether to go with the mohawk or some of them devil horns which i saw the other day... i wonder what my christian friends will think!!!

where opinion holds more weight than fact.

It's better to not pass and know that you could have than to pass and find out that you can't. Wait for the straight.

i dont know about mohawks - although i did think them a bit of a giggle when i first saw them - but the idea of something odd stuck to ones helmet is amusing! :P i would lean towards the santa hats and bunny ears.

Now they are a cliché they are as gay as those stupid red noses people used to put on their cars, which was alright for charity, but leaving them on was stupid & unoriginal.

A friend used to put those little pencil-end rubber monsters on the end of her brake & clutch levers. That was cool. But did I run out & buy some? NO. That would be unoriginal & thus un-cool.

PS: further thoughts: Various reports have indicated (and sorry can’t remember which one, perhaps the later Hurt report) that helmets are best as smooth as possible. If you hit the ground & they catch, the rotation could break your neck. Seemingly anything rubber or sticky could give you a good twist in a microsecond before it detached.

Still think they are such a good idea?

Fuggin near pulled my head off on the motorway! Stupid!

    So.. Not for me.

Last year I put xmas tree lights on the Guzzi and I thought that was cool... But then, I ride a guzzi.. What would I possibly know about cool?
