    Every now and then-- Nirvana

As the title says, every now and then, I get a little reminder why I love biking so much.

36 years on two wheeels and I still get a blast from it.

This morning whilst commuting to work I had one of those moments.

    You know the sort.

One of those times where everything slips into place. When everything is smooth and comfortable.

Where you are aware of everything but some how detatched from it all.

Where riding is automatic and enjoyment is paramont.

My ascent into Nirvana was on a road I travel twice a day 5 days a week. Full of twisties and smal straights. I was just puttering along and suddenly I realised that I was hitting every corner just right, I was devouring those areas between the corners with out any real thought about them. My brakes were an extension of my right side. No sudden jerks through acceleration or deceleration.

Just me, the bike, a road and the noise of the wind.

Good for the soul and a real good way to start the day.

    Just needed to share.

    Thumbs up

It must be the day for it, I turned up at work this morning with the biggest smile on my face and loving my bike.

Cheers for the reminder Mr Merde

Hah, well reading that actually put a smile on my face.

I've been out of riding for about 4 weeks now due to a broken wrist and it's been driving me absolutely mental. My bike is shiney and polished from all the attnetion it's been getting that I think dirt is actually scared of it.

It's a great feeling when that happens, and it makes me proud to live on Scenic Drive (the road to Piha Beach) which is a great ride every time I go into the more civilised areas.

If you love it, let it go. If it comes back to you, you've just high-sided!
