Radar law petition?

A mate was telling me that they estimate that there are hundreds of thousands of detector users in this country, what would it take to set up an online petition and get places such as repco, supercheap and other sellers to have a sign up?

Unless there is some moral groundswell of ill-will towards the Govt if they don't act, (like there should be over the Kukenbecker legal aid farce) they will simply ignore it.

Yep, just the same on the bike. I've got a screamer attached to the detector and it really makes you jump when it goes off! It's definitely made me more aware of speed.

The best way to counter radar detectors would be to have an RF emitter on every cellphone tower flooding the area with Radar signal thus neutralising the radar detector making it next to useless.

Because radar detectors work on very slim margins of frequency, the radar would have to be emitted on the same frequency as police radars, which would screw their ability to measure speed. No to mention it would take an immense amount of power to emit this much radar energy, and you'd never shut the ubiquitous uninformed traps of the green idiots claiming the radars are causing cancer/autism/homosexual tendencies.
