Nah, he'll be talking about that plastic fantastic MV rubbish.

The most profound piece of motorcycling art out there is a battered Moto Guzzi V8, complete with battered rider, racing in a Classic meeting.

Well I dont see the point of even trying to sell it here then if your right :-

    Guzzi V7 classic : 48 BHP, 18-19K.

    Triumph Bonneville : 66BHP 14K

    Thruxton : 69BHP 16k

As much as its a really good looking bike, justifying an additional 4-5K over its immediate competition is just barmy. That must explain wht their seems to be a lot of 06 model year Brevas still lurking around in dealers in NZ unsold then.

Its a shame love the Griso, 1200 sport and the V7 but not at that price, no way I could justify it.

    All madness

    Honda 919 Hornet - 108BHP 11k

    Oh yeah bring it on

Just quietly I do like the grisso - well apart from its massive muffler.

And I have said it before - I'd probably own a bonnie if the dam thing made at least 80BHP.

You've completely missed the point Allan.

But Hornet is like buying Budget cola, it works and tastes fine. Mass produced and a nice price.
The Guzzi though, is more like the glass bottled Royal Draft Cola, a bit on the expensive side, but has that class factor.

I guess it is all each to there own, and that is the thing that makes bikes and people fab!!!!!!
Bikes no matter what they are, are awesome, it is just a shame that money dictates what we buy over what we would really like

Now that is a classic quote from a wife after she spends $250 on a pair of jeans......

One other thing I have noticed is that the fit and finish on the 'mass produced' Japanese litre bikes is in most cases superior to the American and Italian bikes. The difference is apparently called 'character' and costs a lot more.

As stated I like the Grisso and Bonnie, they would just require someone dying and leaving me some dollars to purchase!

I suppose I've been on KB long enough to clue the general population in to my biases and preferences.

That V7 is feckin' hot. 48hp from a push-rod 750, that has to be a very fun bike to ride. Big thumper-like torque curve, no doubt. If I had that sort of money, that would definitely be on my upgrade list for first 250+ bike.

No doubt somebody will customises one into a Sport replica (probably in Japan).
