Shit. Just saw this now. Sad that I wont be able to ride with you again Patrick.

Patrick really did care a lot about his parents. Back in Novemeber last year after the Cheesecutter ride to the museum, a bunch of us went for a ride out past Clevedon. Long story short, Patrick put his bike down a bank (upside down...funniest crash I have seen in a long time), and Patrick was in a tail spin about his parents finding out...

RIP mate, thoughts to family and friends.
Nail your colours to the mast that all may look upon them and know who you are.
It takes a big man to cry...and an even bigger man to laugh at that man.

I've only ever chatted to him on MSN but he was always a cheery, fun gun. Will miss the laughs.

    Patrick you stupid sod...

I first met the little guy in Auckland Hospital... I was wandering along, skulking as it were and trying to avoid hard work when this blond giant loomed before me and asked "Are you Donor from KB?"

After I had racked my brains for how many fair haired professional wrestlers I had pissed off lately, I admitted I was.

Patrick reached out a hand and I shook it, with him introducing himself as 0arbreaka from KB.

Over the last few months, I have met up with him a fair few times, and he was always asking me questions about my job, telling me he wouldn't mind trying it one day and denigrating crusiers.

We never hung out, rode together and I wouldn't say we were best buddies, but he was a top bloke to talk to. Anyone that has worked at or had to deal with hospitals in a work related capacity will know how refreshing it is to have someone there you can chew the fat with and forget work for 5 minutes.

I heard the scuttlebutt last night that Patrick was gone, it fair numbed me... first KBer that I have met who I will never see again.

    See you Thursday mate...
    At the 2007 Westpac Ride:

Donor: So ya glad you're a Biker?

    Minnie: F**k yeah!

Patrick will be truely missed. He was one of the best guys I have ever met, and was always always there for me.
I am just so thankful he turned up at work just before christmas (drove almost an hour for a pair of jeans!!) so I was able to see him before he left this world.
My god, I have barely stopped crying all day! We talked basically all day every day. He said I made his long shifts at work so much more tolerable. I will miss him so so much.

Sending my love to his family. I know that his father wasn't too keen on him being on a bike (something I could relate to) but I know it was something that truely made him happy. It is just so sad that he finally got his bike working as he wanted and now is unable to use it.

Will see some of you on Thursday.

Very sad to hear this awful news. I only met Patrick once and had just a brief conversation with him and he seemed like a really nice guy.

My thoughts are with Patricks family and friends in this terrible time.

I felt sick when I saw this post and its taken me a while to face writing something up.
I got to know Patrick a couple of months ago when he bought the GSXR off me. He didn't have a full license but was able to get a special license for comfort reasons due to to his towering size which looked hilarious on his 400 ZXR We kept in touch for a while as he told me how much he enjoyed riding the gixxer - and it made me happy that someone was getting as much satisfaction out of it as I had.
Patrick, you will be sorely missed - may life be good in Gixxer heaven

Bugger, another rider gone. Where does it all end?
Those who insist on perfect safety, don't have the balls to live in the real world.
