Kiwi Biker - Keeping you up with the latest gossip...no matter where you are![]()
looks like crap to me,wonder how it would handle without a clutch, most likely be hitting the picks like a twosmoker before the corners.
would be interesting to see what the write up's say when it arrives.
It wouldn't be my choice of bike. However I can certainly see some advantage in that transmission as a city commuter.
Time to ride
I have no problem with the auto as many bike brands seem to be mucking about trying to perfect it,and good luck to them its just that its so damn ugly.

The views expressed above may not match yours - But that's the reason my Dad went to war - wasn't it?
Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, .... but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out,... shouting "man, what a ride"!!!
I'm a traditionalist (see bike in profile pic) however I suspect this bike isn't aimed at Sportsbike riders nor at Cruiser riders but more at recreational bikers that may not have been on a bike for a few decades or so.
I'll test ride one before I pass judgement.
In space, no one can smell your fart.
Being Honda, I believe they have been the longest at developing the autotransmission that has evolved into their new HFT. From what I have found, its a bike that blurs the line between cruising/touring, sport and scooting. I think its not just aiming at return bikers but have to agree, being auto could take away some of the spice.
Tis expected to hit UK market August or thereabouts.
Its definately growing on me.
