    Blah Westpac Rescue Helicopter 2008

    WestPac Rescue Helicopter Ride
    Sunday 24th February 2008

    Departing from the Karaka Bloodstock Centre at 9am (assemble by 8am)

    Turn up, donate some money and lets show everyone how worthwhile this ride is.

    Ride is up the motorway down Queen St over Harbour Bridge to finish at Akoranga Campus North Shore.

    KB'ers usually meet up at the Papakura Autobahn before riding to the Bloodstock Centre.

    Richard has booked our band again this year for the ride finish, so will see you at the end.

    It's a fantastic event and a very worthy cause. Well worth a huge turnout from all the KB riders.

    Only occasion I've ever been doing 140 and had a cop behind me signalling me to go faster !

    So are Kiwi Biker's gonna meet at Papakura Autobahn or Karaka cause I don't know where either place is but i'll probably be able to negotiate to one of them.

    Can't remember what I was riding, but both Phobe and Petal can handle 140 with ease. Lots of smoke, mind.

    Actually , thinking about it , maybe that's what he meant. Maybe he just wanted the smoke gone.

    Oh dear - hope I don't get a ticket for going too slowly in that case.....!

    As far as I remember the bloodstock centre (if it's what I'm thinking of), is just off the motorway at the Karaka turnoff. Westside. On the left. The BP autobahn can only be reached from the Southern direction of the motorway, so if you are coming up from the south you will see it on your right. There is a huge BP, a Maccas, an Autobahn cafe etc.
