I pretty much only dice with one person on this site, and thats Motoracer.... Most of the other time, if i pass you its because i want to go at a slightly faster pace...

But with MR, we regularly pass each other generally when he or i pull over to the side and go hard infront for a bit....

We do this mainly to learn more.....But its far better on the track, you can push the bike far harder and safer....

Well we all have a competitive nature, that our instinct so when we encounter another rider some, most of us change our nature into a competitive mode a monster. And the indirect race is on! we want to check out the "cc" the rider the competition its natural and its ego in action. Who can honestly say they want to be wasted by a scooter? everyone has a limit.
I have finally matured into a true safeman I don't care anymore I will not dice with death anymore I am at peace. how to spot a dicer simple really when they see you in their mirror they get all excited darting from mirror to mirror and naturally looking for the better line or lane. The race is on or not if you dice with the dicer you are either a shamed or dead. but if you ride to your true ability rather than beyond it maybe you will live and the dicer will slow down too in a sense of false victory. I had a commute today with a GXR1100 and we sailed to work in unison and without flustered competition it was a spirtule experience and safe. He / she could have done the fidget mambo shit but not. I have entered the third Dimention. first equals no skill two equals all skill and no fear and third equals skill and fear (survival) I will not die on my bike I will die of prostrate cancer.umm the bike death sounds better

Aaah,welcome back bondagebunny - that phrase has been parroted around a bit much for my liking too.

You beat me to it Motu.
I was to busy scratching me head over this one.
Why is it that some riders think it's inevitable their going to crash and it's more to do with luck than skill.
Hell I'm not particualy lucky an my skills are pretty average,but I'm buggered if I'm going to belive crashing is inevitable.
I've been using my very average skills to avoid just that since my last getoff in 88.
I see this mind set in a lot of threads,The protective gear poll for one.
I wear the gear I do partly because I like it,not so much for it's protective
qualitys,that's actualy secondary.
Hell, if I did belive crashing was inevitable I think I'd stop riding.
It's almost like some riders use this type of mind set as an excuse if they do crash.

You know the Lemming thing is just a myth,they don't really do that ya' know.
But maybe for some humans it does apply huh.
