    Love to, but I'm busy.

Fantastic! Went in 2005 for MotoGP. Mind you, you're likely to get people doing burnouts 2 m away from your tent at 2 am, but you can hardly complain about that at a bike race, can you? My wife and I encountered nothing dangerous, nothing stupid and no aggression all weekend.

My suggestion: stock up on groceries ('cause the shop isn't brilliant) and other essential supplies and plan on staying at the circuit for the whole 3 days.

My other suggestion: prepare for windy and/or wet weather.

Wanting to go, but given the time frame i'm more likely to be at the MotoGP round instead.

where opinion holds more weight than fact.

It's better to not pass and know that you could have than to pass and find out that you can't. Wait for the straight.

Don't spare the expense and go for the VIP pass (if you can afford it). It lets you cruise through pit lane and everything. The weather can be temperamental (goes from stifling hot to windy as hell) so the indoor seating with endless beer is an attractive option

Would love to camp but bein on me own i might feel a bit unsafe, probably me just bein silly there tho. I'll sort summit soon. I fly out to Oz a week on monday so i may just get tickets when i get there.

The after burner day sound like great fun but i won't have any kit with me so thats a no no unfortunately.

As for the Suzuki's seizing or wheels falling off, the cheek!! Put 6500miles on my K6 600 without so much as a splutter, maybe i got lucky.

Being on your own won't be a problem. We had a guy on his own camped next to us last year at the GP. the atmosphere (in the high campground) is pretty family oriented - watch out for them kids with balls (got hit by one), kids on bikes, and older kids on bikes and cars. Don't expect to feel refreshed at the end of the weekend but expect to have had a great time and met some fun folk.
The problem with the bus, is you're then restricted to their timetable. With the GP, the last bus was at about 4-5pm on Sunday - meant you couldn't enjoy the atmosphere after the racing. (watching all the bikes heading down the road).
Not camping means no tent, but you could probably pick up a swag cheap enough over there - head to Elizabeth Street for quite a few camping stores. Head into Cowes for a look if you get a chance, there's actually quite a lot to do on the island if you've got time.
Enjoy yourself, it'll be a fun time (I'm almost jealous, but trying to sort out the GP feasibility).
