AUT riders - parking feedback needed

Thanks for that. Yesterday I did a tour of the campus with the senior person involved inspecting likely places - such as the understairs near bennet's with the bike racks.
No-one has yet outlined exact places, so I can't place them here. Earlier people were contacting me outlining the criteria they needed for parking - ie. my F.A.S.T. criteria above (which I must say has been a hit), and describing problems, petitioning for the continued use of certain places etc.

Please keep posting your suggestions. There are some things going on in the next few weeks and hopefully after than I will be able to post news of concrete developments, but at this stage the committment being shown by the Uni is excellent.

I am perplexed as to why this thread is not in the "Auckland SMC" area.

the UofA SMC currently doesn't extend up the road to AUT, though we do welcome all members and could well spread up the road for an AUT chapter...



man it's good to hear some actual consultation going on, even if it was in the holidays (a fav time for uni to make changes the students might not like).

UoA is also part of the 'learning quarter' transport strategy and meant to be consulting on bicylce and motorbike parking. ARTA is a main partner. You might want to contact them and your Uni's VC's office to learn about progress. Both Universities are full parties and committed to the programme's aims.
