I may have missed something here but what are you riding over there at the moment? Cheers John.

What happened to the old motor?
What sort of money do they want for: another motor? ;repairing the old one?
What are the resale options: Broken? ;Fixed?

How much time do you have before leaving?

Not much mate, have a borrowed VFR800 for another day then heading off to catch planes. Home to see family and friends for a couple of days then off to Aussie.

New motor is a small mortgage, and a used exchange one is over US$1200.
Options now exhausted mate, time has pretty much expired. Thinking about heading back to start again from where I left off but will need to make some more money before I do.

I have had an amazing time and seen things I never thought I would, enjoyed the country and the people far more than I expected to. All in all, it has been one of the best trips I have ever had. I highly recommend it to anyone, and I reckon I might just have to come back and see all the things I missed.

I have changed my flights and will be headed home shortly, so keep a coldie handy for me, a nice cold kiwi beer sounds pretty bloody good actually!
    See y'all soon!

Excellent!! Will be looking forward to catching with all the news we haven't seen here...

    Bummer about the motor, Mack.
Totally agree with your comments on the places and people. America is a fantastic country but people seem to judge it by the politicians it elects.
    Safe travels!

it's probably too late now,but if you can make it to Colorado we'll look after you. This offer expires for all kiwi's the moment he sets foot on the plane back.I may make exceptions for sheila's south of Bombay.depends on photo.I agree about the yanks I have been here for 16 years and when ever I come home I find myself defending them. They are a fun bunch.Saw a cool t-shirt,it had a photo of the two president Bushes and undernearth it said dumb and dumber.

If anyone is coming thru Denver, give me a yell.I live at my workshop,so don't have an ideal guest room set up,but if your hardy and don't mind a camping mattress on the shop table you'll be fine.I've lived here for 16 years and have Denver sussed,in an extremely good way.

I'm sitting in Morro Bay California, it is too hot to go out on the bike for a look around, the Temperature here is way over 40 degrees C.. California is having a heat wave like they havn't seen for over 10 years.
