I look better with helmet hair. It's a godsend really.

I used to have long hair and sideboards that got caught in the D rings of the chin strap. Nowadays No. 2 haircut and only a goatee does it for me.

I tie my hair in a pony tail with the ends looped back up and tucked into the ponytail holder. One thing about wearing a helmet is that it is a great hair straightener - saves a lot of damage to my hair from heating and straightening. I now have to be fashionably late when going out cos I have to go for a ride first to do my hair!!!

Sadly I also have to wear glasses - I'm forever stabbing myself in the eye when I put them on through my helmet!

I cut mine down to a 2 so no problem for me now but wifey tucks her hair in to the back of the jacket. Well did when it was long. and so does my Daughter. Her hair is very long. It was fun when I took my Daughter to Hamilton to pick up a car. She could not be bothered doing anything with it when we left home at 4.30am but when we stopped for fuel 270km later it was so badly tangled she had to leave it like that till her mother could work on it that night. Yep I laughed so much I nearly cried. I told he I would cut it off but her boy friend was not amused

short hair styled to suit a lid--easy peasy. as for the sunnies thing--I make sure my sunnies have the right kind of arms to flex outwards.

The missus ties it back, but it's not too long anyway - you might have to look at getting a more helmet friendly do. Another sacrifice for the sake of freedom.

And also for helmetted people who wear glasses - similar annoyance - feel free to comment also.
I have long hair and glasses!

the glasses are a total bitch with helmets, the hair less so. tying it up in a low ponytail is fine. never encountered any tangling, maybe it is just to start with?

I'll have to try the 'helmet before glasses' method

    I love my hair!

I love the way my hair looks after I take my helmet off, looks all stylish

I was getting bored of my usual short to medium wax spiked hair, until one day I did it as normal and then wore the helmet and saw what it looked like afterwards, looked great. I wear contacts as well, so no problem there either.

Sorry, I guess that didn't help you all too much.

I never have my hair wet [edit: opps forgot this crucial word!] if I'm gonna ride, helmet hair to the max! I let my hair flap freely out the back of my helmet or sometimes I tie it up in piggy tails.
Sadly though no matter what I do I get helmet hair, so just don't ride to any hot dates

Had a bit of hair poking out and it always got tangled. I've fixed that now (see mullet thread). Still, I found a helmet helped keep my hair a bit flatter and not so wavy. Can't be bothered with gel/wax, I just never use it due to the motorcycling thing....

    Glasses?

I used to wear glasses until I had LASIK treatment about a year ago.

    I highly recommend it

Seems a waste to have all that hair hidden under a lid when it can be more usefull ah .
