    Tokoroa Supercross

Hard to believe it was the 20th year they have run this. Last nights would be one of the best even though the wind made things a little unpleasant.
Hurley was the star but was kept honest by plenty of talent. The big double claimed quite a few but when you see kids on 85s doing it then I guess its all down to the rider. Brad Groombidge's whip/crash was pretty good ,especially seeing him dust himself off get back on and have another go at it with a peakless helmet no front number board and a steaming Kwaka. Too bad the young freestyle guy didn't look so good after his whip/crash.

Yep . Quite funny really unless it was your seats getting watered .The wind was blowing it away from the crowd so it wasn't dangerous. I guess no SX is complete without pyrotechnics.

I was working at A1gp, so took a couple of cage mad mates to their first super cross. Was a very well run, fun night, that kept everyone interested. My 'virgin' mates reckoned it was awesome.....

The last pic is ME, sitting in Black Beauty during the practice tire changes, a wonderful experience....

" How the hell did you manage to get that!!!!?? "

The teams know how important the volunteers are.. Most of the A1 teams like to do little things for us, by way of thanks.. This was pretty cool, I think I might help out again next year.. ..

One of the guys took his go-cart, so we spent Friday evening zooming around Tokoroa Kart track, while the mini bike kids were tearing up their MX/Super Cross track over the fence...

Oh and this is the view Johnny has...... The beady little camera eye wouldn't help my driving much......

It was a most enjoyable weekend..........
