How to change a RG150 spark plug?

Hey dudes, as a noob I was just wondering how hard it is to change a Rg150es's spark plug, mine seems to have gone and shat itself. I will be attempting this tomorrow or friday. Do i need to take the fairing off, hopefully not as it is a right pain in the ass *prob cos mines all cracked lol*. Haha hey MDR2 we seem to be having all the luck with our RG's

Once the fairing is out of the way, all you'll need is about a 14mm spanner. Though it is easier having the tank off and using a socket above the plug because access from the side is a bit tight. Not sure what the torque setting for putting it back on is, I just put it in tight enough to stop black muck getting out. Ran fine untill the big end blew

Don't need a torque wrench for spark plugs. New ones have a crush washer (that's one reason why some people say don't use old plugs too many times). You do them up finger-tight, then use your wrench to take the plug roughly 1/8th of a turn. NGKs actually describe the process on the packet.

take the seats off take the tank off take the plug out. 5 minute job mate. ( I timed myself)

Turns out my Power valve actuator is rooted. Won't have it back till next week...

Suddenly the FXR is looking and making more sence.

My VFR's manual said otherwise. Had to be done up to 9Nm. I did what you said and took the bike to work to borrow their torque wrench and I wasn't far off anyway

remove pillion seat with key ,remove other seat with allen key that should be attatched to bottom of pillon seat ,undo the two bolts that hold tank on then gently pry the side panels away from tank so the clips come out lift up tank ,pull vent hose, fuel hose and unplug fuel sender wire (make sure fuel tap is off) then take lead off the plug and undo it easy 5min job
imo use a ngk b9eix irridium bike seems mmuch happyer with this fitted

haha, Drider had a go on mine the other day and reckons it needs more power. while he IS correct, those things corner better than any other bike out there, except maybe the rg150

the trick is to just not slow down, and keep the throttle wide open at all times

you've got a manual?! how many pages is it? does it cover the NC30? original honda or haynes?

and sparkplugs are to be done up "nip tight". so finger tight and then use a socket for an eighth or quarter turn maximum.

if you go too tight it'll be near impossible to remove later, and if you don't do them up with your fingers you may inadvertently crossthread the soft aluminium thread in the head, which is very expensive to repair and therefore bad
