    THE MACINTOSH BR1 FOR FROSTY

    THE BLACK AND WHITE PICK IS WHEN IT WAS JUST BUILT, THE ONE NEXT TO MINE IS THE ONE ROGER FREETH WON BATHURST ON. THE SECOND PIC IS ME ABUSING THE COLLECTORS ITEM . I DONT THINK THAT KEN AND ROGER EVER THOUGHT THEIR BIKE WOULD BE DOING THIS, DO YOU REMEMBER THIS FROSTY

    I remember seeing Roger Freeth on tv racing at Gracefield against two brothers (not the Hiscocks) - can't remember their names now but I think they were cleaning up in NZ street racing at the time.

    Also Dave and Neville Hiscock and Robert Holden. Pity there is no racing in Gracefield anymore. The PC fun police are taking over.

    WHEN IT SAYS REPLICA IT MEANS ITS A ROAD VERSION OF THE RACE BIKE, MY BIKE WAS MADE BY KEN MACINTOSH HE COPIED HIS BIKE HE PUT ON THE TRACK, IT WAS FAST FOR A ROAD BIKE OF THAT ERA, ALL YOSHI ENGINE BITS, IT DIDNT IDLE VERY WELL. I HEARD HE MADE ABOUT 6 REPLICAS.I SOLD IT FOR ABOUT 6 TIMES WHAT I PAID FOR IT, WHICH WASNT THAT MUCH

    or in the case of the modern Hondas, the CBR600RR and CBR1000RR race bikes are copies of the road machines... the road bikes came out before the racers.

    a friend of mine in westport had one, took it to the brass monkey, crashed it, ( was hit from behind.. didn't fall of but bent rear disc...) he won the golden kiwi ( remeber those?? you old buggers!!!) and he ordered a MAC. ran a gs 1100.. i think it was an 1100 ...could have been a 1000, what happened to it? the last time i saw it, it was in the guys livving room rotting away...

    both of those in the pics have gsx motors, mine didnt get 1 much rest , i rode it regularly untill i crashed it on the taupo race track.

    I saw Freeth racing at Puke once,he was so much faster than ANYBODY else I actualy got interested,Way cool.
