Oh, sorry. It's face-down beside the bed on silent mode. I keep meaning to go to sleep, and getting distracted.

[QUOTE=Hamel;1388102]Theory is: we choose a bike that suits our needs but also reflects our personality, how we see ourselves. Four questions:
    1) What is your bike
    2) Why did you choose it
    3) Why is it you? (and, out of curiosity)
    4) Money no object, What would you ride?

    I like this game...

    1. GSXRthou (K2) and CBX 1000.
    2. The k5/6 thou's are too small, a Fireblade is too sanitised and slow, I don't want a Kwaka (it's not easy being green). Italian cars are hard enough, I want a bike that starts most of the time. CBX wasn't a choice, it was more of a calling, like being a monk without the celibacy and silence requirements.
    3. The gixer is loud, nasty, a handful, too much of everything and really high rent mentally. Just like me. The CBX is refined - nothing is stock on it, it's more like art. I like that.
    4. Rachel McAdams. Or Paris Hilton (kidding, you'd need to hold a shotgun against my head - actually, I'd probably beg for the bullet...).
    4. Seriously. I'd own what I own now, I can pretty much afford anything I want (could sell the car, the dog and buy it). If I could spend money on anything, I'd hire Keith Code and Laguna Seca for a month. My bikes are fast enough, it's the dumb ass monkey that's slow.
It’s diametrically opposed to the sanitised existence of the Lemmings around me in the Dilbert Cartoon hell I live in; it’s life at full volume, perfect colour with high resolution and 10,000 watts of amplification.

    1) What is your bike
    First one FXR150
    second 1983 virago 500
    third 1990 CBR600
    NOW GPZ500

    2) Why did you choose it
1st - cos it looked cute and was under 250 and was affordable
2nd - cos it rode great and was kinda laid back
3rd - cos it was grubs old bike and lovely and sporty
4th - I sat on one and feel in love

    3) Why is it you? (and, out of curiosity)
1st - cos it was afffordable
2nd - I just love the sit position ... she was great to ride ... and had a whole lotta personality - but on long trips it hurt my back badly
3rd - cos it was used by Grub (heheh) .... nah I love the thought of speedie .. but on long trips it hurt my shoulders ...
4th - on long trips it doesn't cause pain ... the sit is just right .... and she goes and goes and goes ... just like the tractor she is.

    4) Money no object, What would you ride?
a new GPZ 500 ... would have to import it though they no longer sell new in NZ.

    1) 1986 VFR (NC21) and I'm another 'smoker with an rg150

    2) Vfr- was looking around at nc30's, rode one of them and loved it, nice bike but far too expensive for what it is then I chanced across the nc21 for real cheap and while it may be a honda and ghey its pretty good bang 4 buck.

rg150- wanted a streetstock bike but I love riding it so much I ended up Wofing it and using it on the road heaps too!

    3) Honda isn' really me, good bike but i prefer less sporty for day to day stuff. the rg is kinda cool because its go a bit of a wolf in sheeps clothing effect when people hear that is just a wee 150...

    4) I kinda like that aussie drysdale V8 kinda thing but I would probably build my own too.
prob a gs500 for normal road use,
Homemade formula3 racebike (or heavy modded 250 twostroke)

And a few old classics in the dream garage, DBD34 Goldstar and a whole pile of other brit classics.
Racing a goldstar would also be coold and VERY expensive...

    4) Money no object, What would you ride?
    1 - Hyosung GT250 - with some mods
2 - Needed something learner legal...after that it was a) Size b)Looks c)Price to newness ratio. and it had a warranty.
3 - Love the V-Twin sound...even if it is only a small one, and the more relaxed look of a naked bike.
4 - Bit hard to say till I can actually have a go on them, but based on looks either:
    a) Triumph Speed Triple
    b) MV Agusta Brutale 910R
    c) Buell Lightning XB9SX
    d) KTM Superduke

    An HD for me

    1) What is your bike
    98' HD Wideglide - customised

    2) Why did you choose it
It chose me. A mate outbid me for it at Turners then rebuilt it, made it shiny and quick then put it on the market and I snatched it up.

    3) Why is it you? (and, out of curiosity)

It is the bike I always wanted since giving away flying (heart attack), its' got the legs for long 2-up trips, is very quick and nimble, is now my customised dream come true and has the vanity appeal for the poser in me (being honest!).

    4) Money no object, What would you ride?
I'd trade up to an 08' HD Electraglide Ultra to give my missus the ultimate rear-seat ride and to force me to settle down to old-man status while not losing the noise, bling or too much performance.

    1) What is your bike
    GTR14
    2) Why did you choose it
Stupid enough to go for a test ride in the rain - 11km sold it.
    3) Why is it you? (and, out of curiosity)
It's a comfortable mile-eater that performs & handles. Love doing big rides.
    4) Money no object, What would you ride?
    I'd keep the Connie but get a bigger shed for more toys: a dual-purpose, a crusier, a V-twin, a dirt-bike....
