    What do you do?

I was just on my way home from picking the bike up from bike hospital, cause it had a sore foot.
And the traffic was heavy, as it always is on Hewletts rd, here in the dirty ole Mount.

And a 1 tonne ute wasn't watching the traffic and just about collected the back off the NC30. I was just wondering...
    What do you do? :spudwhat:

Do you hear the screatch of the tyres and go to the right or left, or just hope that he can control the skid enough to go around you? Hoping maybe that you won't end up like a novilty Garfield toy on the back of someones car
The world will look up and shout "Save Us!", and I'll whisper "no"

Scary eh! Always have a getaway, left or right side of the vehicle in front. Do it always in rush hour as people follow to close and glance away, have ended up overlapping the vehicle in front, between the concrete median and the car.

Imagine how that road is going to be like when they complete the flyover.

Pray for the ground to turn soft and for the stupid bastard to burn in hell forever. I hate idiots who dont watch out for those in front of him
To every man upon this earth
    Death cometh sooner or late
And how can a man die better
    Than facing fearful odds
For the ashes of his fathers
And the temples of his Gods

I sit just back from the corner of the car in front.
This shouldn't put me in their blind spot if they use their wing mirrors.
    Yeah right aye
Anyway, this gives me an out if somebody behind me gets to close or does something stupid.I tend to drift from one side to the other always looking for the best way out.I watch what's going on behind me as much as in front when in traffic.I won,t let another bike ride beside me and on charity rides if another rider tries this I squeeze them out.If I have a bike in the lane beside me I move as far from them as I can,so they have somewhere to go if needs be.
    Above all,trust no bugger!!!

I was thinking that they are more than likely going to swerve to the left away from the on coming traffic, but you never know!!

In heavy traffic I tend to stay close to the centre of the road. This way I can see what is ahead. The car in front can see me through his wing mirrow (if he is looking. sometimes I may flash my lights if I am in doubt, to get his attention.) While I keep an eye out for an escape route, if you are stationary by staying over to the centre you give the car behind an escape route if they are not paying attention.
