    With appropriate gear i feel it is perfectly safe to do a u-turn

    Well it's probably too late to start thinking of new tricks now but the way I do it is to feather the clutch all the way around. I just maintain a constant slightly high idle and just feed the clutch in and out to maintain momentum or tighten the turn.

    It works for me but it may not work for you - do what feels comfortable.

    Got my restricted today too,hamilton AA-5 cross roads,10:45-11:10am, yay!no more 'L' plate on my bike, congrats to you to dude.
