I am trying to do a deal on a Triumph Scrambler, and that line about "the offroader you wouldnt take past the end of your driveway" was a chuckoff line in some review. Then Big Dave's capital adventure ride video came along and showed that to be a load of crap. Plus my readings on ADVrider show that the bike is more than capable of doing what I want to do (basically exploring shingle roads and other roads less travelled, while looking completely cool.

This could be interesting - seriously though I'm keen to see how one handles the "real" world. Would expect the Scrambler to handle this ride no worries.

    Well I'm back in.
Turns out the gear shift stopper lever spring had moved whilst being installed and had no tension, hence no gears.
Fingers crossed nothing else goes wrong now!

Nice when things are "easily" solved. Hope you have no further issues.

HenryDorsetCase - how'd you get on with the scrambler? Will you be joining us?

    Cheers R
