Ive test ridden one, and had a ball.

We are kind of haggling at present, so I am still on the Hornet.

    next time maybe?

Assuming we take Ahuriri Rd out of Taitapu to near gebbies then we will indeed be behind them.

Twas a good day out thanks people, quite eventful and entertaining, everything from bent handlebars and a broken subframe to wrong turns and empty pie warmers. Awesome views again too.
I wish I had taken a camera... maybe it was better I didn't.

I hope everyone else had a good one despite the damages... then that's the stuff memorys are made of.
J enjoyed her day too, think she was glad to be on the back on this trip in a few places.

I'm just happy I escaped with a smashed mirror and not a smashed body when the XT came rearing up and crashing down on that stock route up to the summit road.
Still don't know if I'm convinced on that Mitas E09 as yet, might give it a thrash out at the Waimak to see how it goes out there.
Thanks to Ryan for orginising a great day, shame about the casualties, but it seems that's what adv riding is all about - Still learning this!

Had a good ride today. Hope that it wasn't too challenging though I know a few needed help and hopefully learnt something. I learnt not to be so helpful - was buggered after the picking up and pushing bikes session - though it is a good way of gaining a bit of fitness

    Cheers R

I was recommended to take up a relaxing and safe hobby , since my work is quite challenging and dangerous....seems I am not that well equiped anymore to deal with terra firma.........may have to practice a bit

No worries guys. Where did you end up going? Was kinda obvious you you weren't in front of us after the Robinsons Bay stock track, there wasn't the 3 inch deep ruts from the twins getting on the power We had a learning experiance or two getting up the steeper sections of the stock track so got a little behind but that was pretty inevitable.
