How long does a broom last?

" bloody good broom, It's lasted for 20 years now, only had 3 new handles and 5 new heads".

I guess a bike with that amount of K's will cost you - depends how much you can do your self and how hard parts are to get for it.

Tenere's are pretty popular in Europe so parts availability shouldn't be an issue. Plus the motor (or derivative) is used in other models.

The issue with recording the kays is understandable. The LTNZ WOF system is not geared towards bikes (vehicles) with 5-digit odos. They'll flag you for being >30,000km over the last reading, but won't flag that a 5-digit odo has been round the clock... which is pretty obvious really, looking at that bike's history in the Lemon check. Crazy alerts happen all the time with my Triumph, but not useful ones. Will be interesting to see what happens when it goes round for the third time...
    Cheers,

Yeah lemon check is good thing!

Cost me $25 but was worth it, i cant believe it was worth what it sold for regardless with those km, Tyres, chain and sprockets, almost 2k on the front plastics...

Thats $5k gone inc buying the bike... would it then be worth $5k.. Probably not.. and if it did an engine at what point would you stop throwing money at it..

hey thats just my thoughts i know they are a cool bike, aftter all i did go along way toward buying it...

My $5k just went on a tidy BMW F650.... Lemon check shows it was an x rental so it would have had as much of a hard life as i will be giving it.

The rental company could not help me with its service records as they sold it some time ago but said me no expense spared servicing on all their bikes past and present

How did i manage to just change the subject....

    Lemon checks are good!

Rentals can be good buying. They don't scrimp on the servicing, it costs way too much more if they have a breakdown during a hire. Plus they tend to get serviced more often than the schedule, as the service is done early if it would fall due during a hire.
