You are falling over your own words so much that I don't even need to retort, all I will reply to is this.

"which is why i made this thread, to point out it is a commuting bike."

No one has ever said it wasn't. You are making up drama all by yourself. Surely you are just taking the piss now and you really aren't this retarded? To say that the ZZR is just fairings is hilarious, you constantly point out your own stupidity by not actually researching *anything* other than saying "well I rode this bike and it sux!!!11".

And also.. "to be honest i have reached the zxr's limits."

To compare a GPX or ZZR with ZXR or CBR is an excercise in futility. They are designed for and aimed at different markets.
The fact is that for someone who wants a new 250, there are no IL4 anyway.
And if the GPX is/was so bad, why are they still making them 20 years down the track?
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

If ya talking small bikes, anyone tried a CBR or YZF (?) 150 ? Are they any good and maybe a viable alternative to paying $6000 for a s/h 250?

i wasn't making it up as ive said how many fucking times now.... i'm just pointing out to learners before they make a silly mistake so they can make an informed decision, a bike shop will tell you what you wanna hear and alot of people are gullible enough to treat the salesmans words as gospel. considering the age of people buying this bike will be aounf 18-20 usually.

To say that the ZZR is just fairings is hilarious, you constantly point out your own stupidity by not actually researching *anything* other than saying "well I rode this bike and it sux!!!11".

    i know the differences.

    do you?

You are a very very profoundly ignorant little boy...stop acting like a child and listen to some of the people your are arguing against...noone on this thread agrees with how you rated this machine...noone on this thread thinks you are being reasonable..

Take a step back..and look at it from a reasoned perspective. [and don't reply back saying you are]

Ps: Don't you dare send me a PM mouthing off like that again!

The GPX is a good bike Mark. (I was servicing, and riding them and helping to sell them for Mack1 Kawasaki in West Aussie when they first came out).
Sure, they arn't specced up like the fours, and don't make your heart race like those bikes, but I think you should stop slagging things out so hard young fulla.
Your passionate about your Kwaka's, and thats cool, but you need to be more selective with your words.
Kawasaki have sold many of these bikes to thousands of happy customers. Do you really want to upset that many people by running off at the mouth?
The web may be faceless, but your'e not.

Adjustable leavers and rear shocks, smaller sprocket, changing in the carbs, 17" rear wheel instead of 16" just to name a few.

But yeah, you are right, EXACTLY the same as the gpx eh?

Well mark I am a little suprised you would run something down without even looking at it in the flesh so to speak or test riding it (not that anyone in thier right mind would let you test ride one)
It is what it is a 250 cc learners bike that looks blardy awesome this alone will help kawasaki NZ sell shit loads of them over here. It irrelevant that it has the same forks and motor, they are obviously happy with the performance of the GPX to use the fundamental parts, so why would you slag it so much, maybe your a little jealous
I had the choice between the GPX and the 08 ninga for my wife and i chose to wait for the ninga to turn up here because it is a better looking bike that will certainly handle better than its predasessor and will be easier to sell in twelve months when she is ready to move up to a more powerfull bike
I probably wouldnt have brought it if it was a lot more powerfull because i believe that you dont give someone a rocket that is learning to ride.
I ordered one and am very happy with the decision and will be very happy to report what i think about if after we have had it long enough to give an honest opinion

thats another reason i put this up so newbies wouldn't gooo ooooo ahhh it's so pretty and just buy it without comparing.

i did not slag off the bike as people are saying.

i was simply pointing out theres are other options before everybody goes ooo it's pretty and just buys one.

meh fuckit was just trying to help...not dig into the bike.

and just as info i have owned a gpx...ridden many zzr's...

    and owned 3 zxr's.

and been a bike mechanic for 3 years.

    but sweet

    what would i know eh?

CBR150 is a dressed up Thai scooter, as I understand it. Some Pom bike mag I was reading reckoned that a race around the city with 4 of them was the most fun they've ever had though.

Sweet f**k all actually! If you know so much about mechanic's and bikes, why arn't you getting $30hr for your skills?

Got ya trade papers? No? Then stop calling yourself a motorcycle mechanic! Or any type of mechanic.....
I can see why people get f**ked off with you. You run off at the mouth, and then have a conveinient lapse of memory. Read back over your post. You did slag it out.
    Grow up mark.

You must have been sleeping on the job because when it comes to this topic you don't know fucking jack shit mate. And I am terrible at bike mechanics.

We don't know why you bother either. I do love how you do selective quoting, avoiding the ones that prove you wrong. Running in circles now so I'm out, have fun reaffirming yourself in a mirror markymark.
