    Let's get naked...

    Hi folks,

Just asking the opinion of those who ride nakeds.

How do you find the wind protection aspects or lack of.

Have been looking at the likes of the Buells and the look of the 2005 Triumph Triple doesn't arf stimulate my loins eh? I seem to be leaning towards that ole bunty look of bike... you know the squat bulldog looking bastard that looks like it will tear your arms off once you twist your wrist.
Oh yeah, and I'm starting to get a complex from all the HD riders giving me the finger cause I look like a squid on my Zuki.

    Thanks in advance, folks.

My choice of ride -on the road--is a nekkid.--I just have a lil fly swatter screen to take the strain off my neck -bloody easy to ride,

    Yeah man, go naked.
Depends how fast you plan on riding though, this may dictate whether to go naked or not.

Used to have a Monster. Wasn't that fun at 100+. current bike has a bikini fairing and I'm quite happy with it.

Have never owned a faired bike, and don't want to. I love the naked look. Have been 191.3kph on my thou and didn't notice any signficant buffeting - I guess I'm used to it.

I own both faired and naked bikes. Riding the naked bikes long distance is more tiring especially during the cold winter months and in high head winds. On average I tend to ride 10-15kph slower on them too which is not a bad thing. Mind you I'm not too worried about top speed or looks these days. Oh and try not to be influenced by what others think of your ride.

    I love naked

but for a while i got sick of going slower that 200.
any faster than 200 on a naked bike is not fun for any more than about 10 mins.

You'd get strong arms and thighs though

Nothing wrong with a naked bike. I personally owned a fairedbike but wouldnt mind a Bandit as my next bike as they look pretty good and I havent heard too many bad things about them

Brutale is superb and the lack of fairing makes it fun at slower speeds, however living on a small island I don't go very far on it, but where I do go is usually at a fair speed and find it no problem.

If you want to hide behind a screen you may as well buy a sports car (gag, wheeze...)
