No no, it was on a pushbike. Hence the pedaling uphill bit. Consequences of a mishap would have still been the same in that situation though.

I am glad that I was lucky enough to learn the lession of not wheelieing in windy conditions next to traffic without hurting myself.

    Made it home... just.

    It sure wasn't fun...

Like I've said before ZZRs really don't like the wind ... Nearly sailed off a few times... Like that scene in twister, "look ma, a flying cow" "no son, It's just a big bike with an idiot stuck to it"

Ah well, I'm home and alive, now all I need are some new underpants. (again!, I'll have to start byuing them in bulk, it's been a rough few days on the old undies I must say)

It wasn't windy when I came in this morning (6:30am) but it poured down from Petone to just out of Wellington, I really mean POURED !!

Didn't seem to bad on the way home except for the jam caused by people gawking at the cop that looks to have pulled over a car on the no-stopping park of the motorway.

It's a northerly, you don't feel the pain till you hit Tawa and Porirua by the Police college... yikes. Hope it cools down by tomorrow... Big waves on the coast road, don't see that very often either. I reckon I'll just wear my over jacket and sail in, should save a bit on gas eh ?

    Glad

Yay for the jam though as the m-way for me from about Tinakori off-ramp to just past the ferry terminal is hell in the wind. As it was I was almost knocked over at a crawl by a rouge gust... I named it "F*cken Frank!" at the time. Not a very rougeish (sp?) name, I know.

Got out of the gym about 7:00ish to sun & blue sky - go figure.
Someday we'll look back on this, laugh nervously and change the subject.
