Fast lanes are a figment of many motorists imagination.
Open road speed limit is 100kms no matter what lane your using.
End of story.
Road code does say on a multilane road you should keep to the left hand lane as much as possible unless passing or unless the lefthand lane is full or unless your turning right.
95kms aint a bad speed to travel at, just blow on by if you wanna go faster.
Trouble is lots of people mistakenly think the righthand lane can routinely be used for speeding when plainly this is not the case.
Iv'e been on that bloody southern Auckland motorway doing 100kms in the left hand lane and had the lights flash and the finger waved.
It seems to be the Auckland way.
