    Has riding made you paranoid?

I've been riding for two years now and haven't driven a cage once in that time, but now that i've gone and injured myself i've had to get mates to kart me around all day.

Strange thing is, i'm paranoid these days and absolutely cannot just sit still without flenching and grabbing on tight to the hand rail. It just freaks me out to not be in control of the driving, thinking they're driving too fast or tail gating a bit too closely or they're braking too late or whatever.. when we drove over gravel.. that was the worse.

Dunno if it's just me being cowardly, but does anyone else get this sort of thing? The driver always get offended when i'm holding on for dear life while they're rolling around at 60..

I don't think riding has made me paranoid. But why does everybody pick on Yamaha riders?

No idea what the PC answer would be, so the truth has to do.

no, it hasnt. if anything, its made me more careless.
only time i get worried is when being a passenger in my friend susans car and she makes a sudden swerve towards the ditch to scare me half to death. next time, im wearing my helmet. lmao.

Sounds like a fairly natural reaction to being in an out of control situation straight after a trauma (the crash). People tend to move toward either fear of being out of control or fear of being in control to some degree after an accident.
Question is is this going to won you or are you going to own it?

Taking the HTFU approach will help noone. Deal with your actions and the outcomes. Look at what contributed to the crash without emotion.
Take every chance to go in the car with people you trust and talk about what you are feeling.
Either the feelings will recede or you will learn to hide it better.
If you feel that much distrust it may not be just your issue, it may well be their driving not just your perception of it.

He doesn't need all that...he just needs to get some mates who can drive.
Actually, wait for a few more years of 'being in control' to go by, then try to be a passenger. If you think now is difficult...
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

Hmm, yeah alright. Just me then.

Ah well, cast comes off on wednesday then back on the bike..

Couldn't think of anything particularly traumatic. Does seriously injuring yourself crashing count?

Excuse me for being a dumbass, but what does HTFU stand for? We need a page of definitions of all these things, lol, wtf, etc. ( I now there is a technical name for them but it escapes me just now ).

Thank you for your understanding of us not-so-text-speak-savvy mortals
