Riding has not made me paranoid, it's made me a better driver all around (bike and cage). However, I won't ride pillion unless absolutely necessary i.e. I may be persuaded if my life is endangered be staying put. I have control issues that manifest themselves as a slight fear of flying and a deadly fear of pillion riding (my wife won't take me pillion because I move around far too much and upset the handling). I just don't like not being in control of myself or my body (probably why I've never been drunk).
