I'll do my best to make it next time. Hopefully sporting some new colours if I do get into Weltec this year.

So, what was your top speed?

    212!!!
    Could hardly believe it myself!
I think its a pretty hard time to beat.

Doug got 225 on an FZR400 time before last but I either had a 600 head or whole 600 engine in it so may or may not be a real 600 cee cees.

Also managed to just crack into the twelves with a 12.99 standing!

Come on you know you wan't to try show that newer is better!

Yes, but at least they initially thought it was a small moon.

Shit, I knew VFR's could do that. Why did you get such a different speed from last time though? Running it on standard fuel?

It's hard to say which bike is newer. Mine is a later model but yours has half the k's, what makes the bigger difference?

Ran on lower octane than last time, had new plugs and ripped the regulator out of my fuel tap. also took my mirrors off rather than just folding them back and perfected my crouch. ran right down the white line in the centre on my fastest run.
Think all that put together netted the extra 7kays.
Oh, and of course differnt day, different power and all that.
It was cooler than last time but still damn farken scorching!

Aerodynamics Count for a heluva lot at that end of a bike performance. Putting all your fairings on would make a huge difference.
As would doing the valve clearances on BOTH heads. Doing just one would have probably made it worse as having things even in a multi cylinder is very important.

Aslong as a higher kays bike is working right it should probably go just as good, or even better than one barley or not broken in (neither of ours!)

I had the lower fairings on for the last few weeks. Haven't put them back on since doing the filter.

Valve clearances were only checked on the rear cylinders and were within tolerances and I'll hopefully check the front ones myself. They haven't been tampered with so shouldn't be hurting performance unless the front ones have deteriorated more than the rear.

The rear brake pads were so badly fucked that I was ashamed for ever letting them get so bad but didn't have the money to do anything about it. They had burnt through to the metal and that was slowing the bike down a fair bit. Also got a new 160/60 tyre which should bump up the gear ratios a bit over the last 140/60.

Don't know why I'm putting more and more money into it cause whenever I look at it I want to smash it to pieces. I'm looking at getting a scooter as an upgrade
