    Checking/adjusting valve clearance

Just a quick question, those with 4 strokes how often are you checking your valve clearances?

Depends on the engine, use and ease of doing so...

    Old GS1000.... Every 20,000km I suppose....

    Old Triumph... Every 5,000km

Modern 4st MX around 10-15 hours of racing.

Old 4st enduro around, ummm, 4 years now...
May have to check them sometime.

My DR650 around 450-500 hrs or so but was still within spec.

Depends if you are a top 5 finisher--if not 20 hours if so after every meeting

Like when I was serious about my R/C off-road electrics. I would strip, clean and rebuild the motors after every race.
