Try the Straights Ferry service. I bought a bike in Welly and had it shipped with them. They were cheaper too.

Hi, I have used Brett to bring my bike from Masterton to Auckland and was a great service. Well secured in the truck and pretty cheap for that distance - about $150 I think.

We use Brett at BikeTranz, They are bloody good!
But he's booked out till after Xmas!
Other Than that, You could try Mana Transport.
We use Pbt when we get really desperate, But bikes often turn up late and damaged! So use as last resort!

yeah... i probably shouldnt have mentioned Partly Broken Transport... looks quite good when you get a forklift thru a jukebox tho!

Just another idea, I usd to drive linehaul for Furniture express, so when madduck was looking at shipping her bike from auckers to Chch she was quoted $600 odd, but I put her on to FE and there price was $180. Now to be honest a furniture truck is about the safest way of transporting a bike possible. FE are based in Nelson too so it might be worth a try.

Mana..... shit man, they are the roughest looking bunch out there, I used to do the upper south Is run and I've followed them buggers around corners sideways, I wasent though, 8 wheelers hold a good line at 120k.... i mean 90k
Mind you they were a good bunch of blocks.

Im not offerin to ride it. Jus sayin thats probably the cheapest and best if not the most fun way of doing it. Anyway im to busy during the week to make that trip and my weekends are usually pretty busy too.

i work there driving underbody tugs[tugging with the ferries]and the winds not that bad

Thanks all you people for the replys, and offors for help, but my father said i cant have that bike, so maybe this will be a help for other people who are actually allowed a bike!!!

dad said that sports bikes are bad for learning on, and so i showed him a gn250, he said the style is right, but im not having a 250!!!

Is there any under 250cc cruiser bikes that are in my (very small) budget??? maybe this needs a new thread....

or the Honda "Rebel" 250cc..... ummmm the kwaka have a 250cc cruiser... but I cant remember the model name.....

These three bikes are all cruisers.....

I dont know what Suzuki have in the cruiser..... is it the "Intruder" 250cc ??
