    EVOTECH Tail Tidy

Fitted one to the gixxer last night (thanks and thanks ). Very pleased to get rid of the nasty stinger of a tail while at least remaining legal (it has a pathetic LED light for the plate, LOL)

    Anyway, pic attached.

Yeah my bike is dirty. I use it, that's why. Yeah I coulda had a friend make something up, but well, I wanted one this century, ya know?

    Groovy.

How/where'd you choose to put the WOF and License and reflector?

(I'm building a home-brew one; and geez there's a lot of stuff to show...)

    Cheers,

WOF is bolted to the back of the left side of the plate, just visible in pic? Rego is concealed under the rear cowling.

It's a nice tail tidy. Well made, light, small etc. Quite pleased about the LED it came with, for future WOF's. At least it's legal...

Yep. Those LED's are the nicest solution for plate-lights. I've seen some on Tardme...

    Thanks,

Cool. I'm looking at getting a tail tidy for my SV1000. I went to the Evotech web page and they do look good. What made you decide on this brand other others? And who did you get it through... or did you order it directly from the UK? I have found freight charges to be quite high when ordering from the UK.

NorthWest Motorcycles in Hawera have been importing them. That's where BV's one came from. I've seen an SV1000 at their shop with one on it.... looked pretty good. The Evotech tail tidy for the K7 GSX-R1000 does the biz as well.

thats where mine was but you may need it visible as i was warned by that having it concealed will get you a ticket could be wrong though,

Its to be 'clearly displayed' and visible. Tucked away may be an issue, but I'd expect a verbal warning only if pulled over for just that, if you were pulling a wheelie at 150 it may just be added to the list!!!!!

I fabricated my own, easy enough to do.

I allowed for the stock number plate light to fit into it, mainly to keep the reflector there for WOF purposes...depends who does your WOF's as to whether you need it or not...

Then I just reversed the Rego holder so it is still 'visible' and attached the WOF holder next to it, it was straight but has obviously worked its way crooked, I have since rectified this!
