nods .. it was getting smoother, weighting that outside peg sure helped the stability .. its just remembering to do everything .. indicate, head check weight peg look to where you want to go .. with practice it should get to be a memory muscle .. at the mo have to really concentrate to doing everything

Yeah as Nike adds say just do it,don't think to much about it,after all you do u turns most times riding, just lift the leg, you'll be fine.

For countersteering do like hornetboy250 and I did yesterday, ride up a hill(Mt.Egmont) and cruise slowly(yeah right) down hill from plateau to carpark area,as we said to each other wtf it comes naturally, same with "U" turns, neat feeling when pushing bars away etc to get round corners,so natural you wonder what is the story, and at 30 km if you do drop not much damage, well my 10c worth.Feels good two up and getting down (and dirty), just need to leave roadkill where it lies, and having visibility more than 10mts max, beautiful day had by all(3 of us).

yep definately a great place to practice counter steering ,although yea you cant really practice as such its more a natural habit that you can fine tune and that road is perfect (especially in the rain, when you probably are more focused on your steering than ever)

by the way was a beaut ride Tony ,you ll have to think up some more roads to show me

Will try to lol, plenty around the mountain, but don't tell them from manawatu about coffees, will take half a day to start.

Went to a road hadn't been on for awhile today, loops in a biggish circle of 10km or so,uphill and top of hill then downhill with twisties, just off sh3 south of Hawera. Also the road to the dam site at Alton (pub as well)is good, few animals and gets narrow, with some gravel at end, similar to forgotten highway in parts.

ow yea ,mind you i think ill wait until ive fixed my katana till i ride on gravel ,o and i was nearly run off the road by a fire engine coming back from hawera on Saturday also had to scoop out about a bucket full of tar stones as construction had decided to suddenly start laying fresh tar along my route home ,so was spraying stone up and over my head to the following cars

i seriously think trouble follows me sometimes lol
