    What a great bunch of "make doer's" we are - some fine examples of Kiwi ingenuity here. Getting back to the original question, you can't beat a good set of paddock stands if you are going racing or need to have the wheels off etc. We use the "Bike Lift" brand - these are very sturdy, made of thick steel tube. Cost around $200 for a set (Front and Rear) which is very reasonable I reckon.
