Thank you for all the replies, I feel the R6 is a great bike just not me is really what it comes down to. I have looked at the other brands in the range, SV 650
etc. But Yamaha product carries some great benefits for me. I am going to be buying this bike earlier than intended and it may well be parked up for a while. In a few years timke I can always move to the R6 or R1, Im not saying never. Just not yet. Yes the orginal Fazer had more midrange. But the detuned R6 engine has a nice power delivery with a nice kick after 10,000 rpm. That is really what Im after. This is not final yet, I always liked the naked look, and was originally intended to buy a VTR 250 as my starter, but things change.
