    Jardine GP1 on GSXR

    Hey all,

I think this pipe looks primo on the the gsxr's.... my query is, to me it looks like if you had a pillion on the odd occasion, you would have to worry about the Pillions feet getting fried? Or slightly toasted? Anyone seen or have on and know if its ok to carry a pillion with this flame thrower

    Cheers

Blergh, looks like a diesel smoke-stack thingie

Doesn't look like it's that close to their feet, perhaps idling in traffic might be a little toasty but at speed most of that heat would be dissipated away by the airflow, wouldn't it?

Sorry have to agree with above 'cause the best looking pipe for the GSXR 600 is the Arrow Ti European Cup Replica .... as seen on my race bike

Once the cat converter is removed, I think the stock pipe looks just fine, sounds better as well

I have one fitted. Its very loud, even with the baffle in.

You'll have no problems with a pillion, but you will have problems with the rivets coming loose all the time. Its cheap for a reason.

yep i agree, i fitted one to the girlies Er6 and its farken loud, 2000ks and i have already had to repack it and beef it up with etra rivets. i think the reason for the rivets coming loose is they use stuff all packing, and it just balls up into a big lump, and bashes around in the can causing the end cap rivets to flog out the holes in the aluminium.

sorted with decent packing (as much as could be jammed in) and tied in with some wire. bigger rivets and twice as many.

It's super cool when it spits flames on the overrun.

I actually have now become more fond of the micron, I have found that you can get it in black. I am going to go for the all black k7 GSXR 600. And I reckon this pipe looks better than the Jardine.

that micron is a sexy pipe, but do yourself a favour and get one out of the states, you might have to wait a couple of weeks but you will save a few hundred $$$
